- Quiet in the evenings

- Not as scenic as Tam Cốc
- Fewer attractions in walking distance
Tràng An
A peaceful, scenic area close to top sights.
Pros:
- UNESCO-listed landscapes
- Close to Bai Dinh Pagoda and boat rides
- Great for nature lovers
Cons:
- Fewer shops and cafes nearby
- Limited nightlife options
Hoa Lư
This is the ancient capital area, perfect for history fans.

- Rich in culture and history
- Less touristy, more local vibe
- Amazing photo spots

My Personal Recommendation
I stayed in Tam Cốc and honestly, I think it’s the best for first-timers. It’s just sooo beautiful—waking up to those misty mountains and hearing the birds sing was unforgettable. I don’t really liked crowds, but early mornings were super peaceful. If you’re into chill vibes and boat rides, then you gonna love it here.
